Why are memory foam pillows so hot?
Traditional memory foam pillows are so hot because they are made of dense solid foam or shredded memory foam, making it more difficult for air to circulate. A traditional memory foam pillow may be more likely to absorb heat from your body temperature throughout the night, however, The Eden is made with cooling gel-infused memory foam and cross-cut microfiber to avoid absorbing heat from the body.
Can you put a pillowcase on a cooling pillow?
A pillow cover is not necessary, however, we do offer a CoolSide pillow case that takes cooling to the next level. Our pillow's inner cooling properties will still function as well with a pillow cover. We suggest you try it with and without a pillow protector and determine your cooling pillow preference.
Do cooling pillows actually work?
Our bed pillow, The Eden, is constructed from the inside out to provide cooling comfort. Our blend consists of cooling gel infused memory foam and microfiber. If you are a hot sleeper, stop flipping and fluffing throughout the night and consider The Eden for a real relaxing rest.
Can cooling pillows be washed?
Yes, our cooling memory foam pillow can be washed. Our pillow comes with a washable cover on the outer layer. We recommend washing both layers however in cold water on a delicate cycle. Be sure to secure the zipper to ensure the cross cut memory foam does not spill from the inner layer.

United StatesFirst Week Has Been Amazing!
I've had this pillow for one week, and so far it's been amazing! Last night, one week in, I slept more soundly than I've slept in longer than I can recall. My neck feels incredible compared to how much discomfort I've been having prior to getting this. About me: Female, 60s, 107 lbs., age related neck pain, side and back sleeper. I've been using solid latex pillows for years, but have started waking up with more neck pain and headaches in recent years. When I first got the pillow, the box looked so small! I followed the instructions and put it in the dryer on low for ten minutes, and BOOM! Huge fluffy pillow! The first night, even though I'm lightweight, I used it without removing any filling. I tossed and turned a bit, not out of discomfort, but because it was so different from what I'd been using. For the second night, I removed enough fill to stuff a gallon Ziploc bag. Even though the pillow feels high when I first lay down, within a couple of minutes I sink comfortably into it. I haven't had to remove any more fill. I find it perfect for both side and back sleeping. Everyone is different, and you may need to play with it a bit. Also, memory foam can take a week or so to really start fully conforming, so be patient with it. It's worth it! My ratings: Comfort -- 10/10 It just molds to my head, and even though I sink pretty deeply into it, it's so supportive! It's soft and firm at the same time, which sounds weird, but you just have to experience it. Cooling Technology -- 2/10 (why I removed one star) I don't find it cooling at all. I've tried it both with and without a pillowcase over it. Honestly, cooling technology when it comes to bedding has a long way to go. I have other cooling products on my bed, and they all do the same thing--they're cool for a few minutes and then heat up. This pillow is no different, so don't expect miracles. That having been said, I've been sleeping on a name-brand memory foam mattress for twelve years, and this pillow doesn't get as hot as my mattress. Still, it does get warm, and I think it's going to be a bit uncomfortable in the summer. Would this be enough to make me return it? Not a chance. I love it so much already that it's not going anywhere :-) Longevity -- Can't speak to that yet since I've only had it a week, but I'm hoping to get at least three years out of it. Price -- It might seem steep to some, but honestly, sleep is important, and I don't find this any more unreasonable than spending money on a good pair of shoes to support your body properly. Good sleep is critical to good health. And you can always watch for sales. Customer Service -- Very responsive! They answered every one of my eight million questions before I purchased the pillow :-) I'm following the instructions to fluff it vigorously every morning when I get up, and I will toss it in the dryer on low once a month as instructed to help boost up the loft. I highly recommend trying this pillow! You have a very generous 100 days risk free, so what do you have to lose?
