Why We're Starting Black Friday Early

Why We're Starting Black Friday Early

Remember the good old days when we used to gather around the table with friends and family on Thanksgiving for a good meal and conversation, void of all thoughts related to sales, lines, and crowds? We remember them, and we sure miss them.

That’s why this year, we’ve decided to start our Black Friday sale early—in fact, two weeks early. We’re calling it Coop Friday weekend, and it starts at 9 a.m. PST on Thursday, November 8.

By starting our sale early, we hope that our customers will feel inspired to dedicate more time to loved ones over the holiday weekend, rather than waiting in line or online to shop.

Even more exciting, we’ve decided to do good this year by donating three percent of the profits from our Coop Friday sale to Friends for Life, a Houston-based animal nonprofit.

Why we chose Friends for Life

As huge animal lovers here in the Coop office, we wanted to get into the spirit of giving and donate a portion of our profits to an accredited animal charity. After much research, we decided to partner with Friends for Life, a nonprofit that works tirelessly to save animals’ lives, including many animals that have been deemed unadoptable by other shelters. They live by their slogan “Every animal matters.”

The organization runs a no-kill shelter, offers free spay and neuter services to low-income communities, provides support to struggling pet owners, and much more. In 2017 alone, they found loving homes for 876 cats and dogs. We completely support their mission and dedication to helping animals.

Set your clocks

Our Coop Friday sale will officially start at 9 a.m. PST on Thursday, November 8, 2018 and features our biggest discount all year. We hope you’ll join us in supporting Friends for Life, and we look forward to seeing the impact we can make together.

If you’d like to personally contribute to Friends for Life, please consider purchasing supplies from their Amazon wish list or donating money to them on their donation page.
