How do you use a knee pillow?
Knee pillows bring ideal alignment throughout the night, especially for side sleepers. The best way to use a knee pillow is to place it between your knees in a slightly forward bent position, which should allow your hips to rest in a neutral position. The contoured knee pillow is designed with an hourglass shape to take the pressure of your upper leg off your hips, to bring proper spinal alignment, and to decrease lower back pain.
What does putting a pillow between your knees do?
There are many benefits to sleeping with a pillow between your knees. Putting a firm pillow between your knees helps to keep them aligned along with your spine. Additionally, it may also reduce stress on your hips. If you are experiencing poor spinal alignment, bad sleep posture, or knee pain, consider using an orthopedic knee pillow to alleviate some discomfort. Can I use a regular pillow instead of a knee pillow?
Although placing a traditional pillow between your legs when sleeping may provide some pain relief, our knee pillows are specifically designed to enhance pressure relief and bring maximum support for knee pain, leg pain, or hip pain. At Coop Home Goods, our solid memory foam knee pillow insert can be adjusted for any sleep position so that all types of sleepers can find an elevation level that is comfortable for them.
I love both the head pillow and knee pillow. I wish I’d found the head pillow years ago! As a side sleeper, this is perfect. I went through so many pillows, both expensive and inexpensive, but nothing saved me from neck pain. This pillow is perfect for me. I love the knee pillow, too. I’ve been using a frog stuffed animal for twenty five years, but this is finally what I needed to replace the frog.
If I slept in one position all night it would be fine. But it's difficult to move from one side to the other without waking up slightly to ensure the pillow moves with me. And I'm going to have to make a small pillow case for it.
This pillow is pretty good! I wish it was a little bit longer and it feels a bit high with both inserts but a bit low without the smaller one. I do feel like my hips hurt less in the morning and I like it better than using a regular pillow!
I had to remove both of the extra foam inserts. Now the cover is baggy and wrinkled. And I paid for more foam than necessary.
